‘I told him: “everything I do now, I’m doing for you. You will be my inspiration” and that is what I intend to do. Dad would have wanted me to carry on with my diving, so that will be my spur. He told me: “No matter what, always focus on achieving your dreams”- and those are the words I will carry in my head. Wherever he is, I know that he’s watching me. He said London 2012 was his motivation and he’d be watching me, so I need to do my best for him. That’s my way of feeling close to him. That’s why I am so focused.’
